Tenho vindo a evitar o tema "Donald Trump", pacientemente, esperançadamente, à espera de que daqui por uns meses ele desapareça do contexto.
Faz-me muita confusão a elevada percentagem de fans que o artista tem reunido; mesmo tendo a noção de que existem muitos "Archie Bunker" nos States não
deixa de me espantar que tantos americanos não se importem de vir a ter como seu representante no mundo aquele ordinarão loiro e desbocado, que não temam entregar àquele irado o botão vermelho da destruição maciça.
Não há dúvida de que o povão é doido por telenovelas, soaps e afins...
Mas enquando aguardo, pacientemente, que o pesadelo loiro desapareça, de quando em vez caiem-me aos pés uns episódios aos quais tenho resistido com sérias dificuldades, confesso.
Hoje fui apanhada por um que finalmente me venceu, não resisti em traze-lo até aqui, desculpada pelo facto de não envolver directamente o Donald mas uma figura também espantosa - e igualmente "cadidatada" pelo Partido Republicano como Vice de John McCain - que, como não poderia deixar de ser, dedica ao loiro o seu apoio, a sua voz e a sua sobejamente conhecida sabedoria: Ms Sarah Palin!
«The former Alaskan governor was asked about her support of Donald Trump and his controversial views on immigration.
"I love immigrants," she told Fox and Friends host Steve Doocey, "But like Donald Trump, I just think we have too darn many in this country.
"Mexican-Americans, Asian-Americans, Native-Americans - they're changing up the cultural mix in the United States away from what it used to be in the days of our Founding Fathers.
"I think we should go to some of these groups and just ask politely - would you mind going home? Would you mind giving us our country back?"
"Sarah you know I love you," Doocey interjected, "And I think that's a great idea with regards to Mexicans. But where are the Native Americans supposed to go? They don't really have a place to go back to do they?"
"Well I think they should go back to Nativia or wherever they came from," Palin replied -- as the show's co-hosts sat in stunned silence.
"The liberal media treats Native Americans like they're gods. As if they just have some sort of automatic right to be in this country. But I say if they can't learn to get off those horses and start speaking American - then they should be sent home too."»
