“On the 15th July 1967, in answer to a query posed by the American Federal Aviation Authority, Koenig returned the certificate of registration stating that the aircraft had been sold to a “Moises Broder” of P.O. Box 240, Port Gentil, Gabon“.

”unusually luxurious surroundings. In an order opposed by the U.S. attorney’s office, a federal magistrate had earlier allowed him to reside in a Los Angeles condominium under guard so that he could continue to operate his business pending the outcome of his case.” !!!
He is a very wealthy man. He was motivated by greed.”

Man in Missile Parts Export Scheme Sentenced

June 04, 1985LOS ANGELES TIMES
A tearful Portuguese businessman who said he had "shamed" his family was sentenced to a year and one day in prison Monday by a Los Angeles federal judge for involvement in a scheme to ship radar parts for the Hawk missile system from the United States to Iran.

"You have my word--the word of a man of honor--that you will never regret it if you allow me to go back to Portugal," a sobbing Moises Broder told U.S. District Judge Harry L. Hupp before sentencing.

AROUND THE NATION; Three Held in Scheme To Sell Munitions to Iran
January 20, 1985

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 19— Three Portuguese nationals were arrested today at International Airport on suspicion of conspiring to sell $619,000 in munitions to Iran, including components from the Hawk missile system, United States Customs Service officials said.

Arrested as they prepared to board a plane to Portugal were Eduardo Ojeda, 54 years old, Moises Broder, 47, both residents of Portugal, and Carlos Ribeiro, 45, a native of Portugal who lives in Los Angeles and works as a travel agent, according to Alan Walls, a Customs agent.

Shortly after the arrests, which came after a 10-month investigation, Customs agents seized electronic components in 23 boxes at a storage company in Irvine, a suburb of Los Angeles. The items included components classified by the Federal Government as part of the Hawk missile system and components of mobile tactical radar systems, officials said. None of the equipment was believed to have been stolen from the Government.

Mr. Walls said none of the items was believed to have been delivered to Iran.
